This over-the-top pull-apart bread is super cheesy, garlicky and totally delicious! Make it as a side with dinner or as a tasty appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf (16 ounces) sourdough or italian bread
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 4 ounces shredded swiss & Gruyère cheese blend
  • 4 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350ºF. Slice a grid pattern into the loaf of bread, leaving about an inch uncut at the bottom of the loaf. Loosely wrap the loaf in foil and bake on a baking sheet for 10 minutes to warm the bread without drying it out.
  2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, stir together the butter, garlic and red pepper flakes. Brush the butter mixture in the cuts of the bread.
  3. In a medium bowl, stir together the cheeses, parsley and green onions. Gently spread apart the bread pieces and tuck the cheese mixture in the cracks as evenly as possible.
  4. Bake, uncovered 10 to 14 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and light golden brown. Garnish with additional parsley and green onions, if desired. Serve immediately.
