A delicious holiday recipe for Bourbon Milk Punch made with bourbon whiskey, half-and-half, honey syrup and nutmeg.

  • Vanilla Honey Syrup
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Bourbon Milk Punch
  • 4 ounces half-and-half or whole milk
  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 1/2 ounce vanilla honey syrup
  • Fresh Nutmeg, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Split vanilla bean lengthwise into halves. Scrape out seeds with tip of small knife. Set aside.
  2. To make Vanilla Honey Syrup, in 1-quart saucepan, mix honey, water, vanilla seeds and bean. Heat about 2 minutes over medium-high heat, stirring constantly until honey is dissolved. Remove from heat; set aside 1 hour to cool. Discard vanilla bean. Pour syrup into glass jar. Cover jar; refrigerate until needed. Makes about 1 cup.
  3. Add half-and-half, bourbon and vanilla honey syrup to a cocktail shaker filled with ice; shake until cold and frothy. Pour into a glass filled with ice. Dust with freshly grated nutmeg.
