Stir these bourbon spiked cherries into your favorite drink or spoon them over ice cream for a boozy treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup bourbon whiskey
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise
  • 1 pound cherries, pitted

Instructions

  1. Combine the bourbon, honey, water and vanilla bean in a small saucepan. Place over low heat, whisking constantly, heat (but do not boil) until the honey dissolves, about 5 minutes.
  2. Place the cherries in two pint jars and pour the bourbon mixture over the top. Cool completely, cover and refrigerate at least 2 weeks before using and store in the fridge for up to 3 months.
