2015 Holiday Gift Guide

A chef, a cocktail connoisseur or a food newb, everyone is hard to buy gifts for over the holidays and food folks are no exception. I always keep a running list of my favorite kitchen gadgets, thingamajigs and doodads throughout the year to make gift giving as stress free as possible.

From a classy decanter to the cutest mug in the cupboard or a beautiful apron, if you’re at a loss for what to get your food obsessed buddies then this holiday gift guide is a great place to start!

    I love giveaways!
    My favorite food gift was from my sister (surprise!). It was a big bag of homemade marshmallows in fun flavors like merlot, stout beer, salted caramel and real vanilla bean!

    My family gave me a Le Creuset Dutch oven last year for Christmas. Best gift ever and I use it all the time!! Oh, and I love mini spatulas 😄

    oh my word, what a dreamy apron! definitely my favorite item on your gift guide 🙂 let’s see, not sure i’ve been given many food type gifts but my absolute favorite place to purchase for others is trader joes! they always have really amazing chocolates/treats/sweets and are more unique than what you’d find in a typical grocery store.

    I received little dark chocolate mini bottles, filled with liquor. They were all wrapped like the brand, and tasted delicious.

    One year, I gave my brother a sample pack of exotic snacks and oils from World Market. My sister-in-law and he loved it!

    My mom once gave me friendship bread for the holidays. There’s just something about having fresh bread in the house and the smell of baking it that is like nothing else! This year I’m making cookie butter for friends and family. I hope it turns out great!

    The best food gift I ever received was being treated for dinner at one of the restaurants at The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY.

    I’ve given so many food gifts that it’s hard to keep track. I think my homemade caramel corn always gets the best feedback. People rave about it!

    Ive received a couple. The first was a few years ago when we didnt have much money my mom filled a HUGE Rubbermaid container with canned goods plus some meats and perishable in her fridge. Last year my son bought me a waffle maker with a box of waffle mix and bottles of maple syrup…my favorite!

    My favorite food gift came from an aunt who has since passed, She made the best peanut butter cakes and she was about 85 when she surprised me with a whole one for a gift!
