Strawberry Banana Smoothie Bowl

Smoothie bowls are everywhere right now, and I’m totally loving it! They’re a colorful and super easy way to pack in some healthy fruits and veggies.

This pretty, pink bowl is one of the easiest ways to dive head first into the world of smoothie bowls. It tastes like melty strawberry banana ice cream… breakfast win!

The trick to getting a smoothie bowl the perfect consistency is to use less liquid (coconut or almond milk) and more frozen fruit.  It makes the bowl smooth, frosty and spoonable.

The toppings! Oh, the toppings!!! I love going crazy with fresh fruit, nuts and seeds to give it just the right amount of texture. But, feel free to use whatever fresh fruit, seeds and nuts you have on hand.

Simple, delicious and packed with fruit, this smoothie bowl is a great breakfast on the go!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut or almond milk
  • 1 frozen banana, cut into chunks
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries or mixed berries
  • 1 kiwi, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup raspberries
  • 1/4 strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 banana, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds

Instructions

  1. To a blender, add coconut milk, frozen banana, and frozen strawberries. Blend until smooth and pour into bowls.
  2. Top smoothie with sliced kiwi, raspberries, strawberries, banana and a sprinkling of chia seeds.
