These roasted figs are a simple but sophisticated appetizer with blue cheese, sweetened with honey and served over toasted french bread.

  • 10 ripe, fresh black mission figs, trimmed, sliced
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese (about 1 ounce)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 springs fresh rosemary
  • French bread slices or crackers for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 350°F. Layer the figs in a medium baking dish, sprinkle with blue cheese, walnuts and drizzle with honey.
  2. Tuck the rosemary sprigs on the sides of the baking dish. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until the figs are softened slightly and fragrant.
  3. Serve with toasted french bread.
