Bourbon and Honey Glazed Pecans

These crunchy glazed pecans are great for throwing on top of ice cream, garnishing a salad, or nibbling on their own as a sweet and savory snack.

  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. In a 2-quart saucepan over medium-high heat, add bourbon. Bring to a boil and cook until reduced to 2 tablespoons, about 4 minutes. Stir in honey, butter, orange zest, salt and cayenne. Cook another 30 seconds, stirring constantly or until butter melts. Stir in pecans.
  2. Transfer pecans to parchment-lined cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes, stir and bake an additional 5 to 10 minutes or until pecans are browned and well coated.
